We may be spending more money than we need to be. Here are ways to cut spending without sacrificing too much.

    1. Call your credit card companies and ask for a reduction on your interest rates, preferrably under 10%.
    2. When eating out, eat only half your portion. Restaurants serve portions bigger than needed. This way, you can lose weight and gain another meal.
    3. Opt for a cup of water. Drinking juice or soda at each meal will total to about $6 a day, which is over $150 a month. Plus H2O is better for your health.
    4. Use coins instead of breaking bills. These coins add up.
    5. Test products before buying them. We waste money buying things on a whim or just by hoping that a product is good.
    6. Use shopping plastic bags as trash can cover.
    7. Print out all your copies in gray. Select all, select the color of the font to the darkest gray, and it will double your ink supply.
    8. Use toilet paper instead of tissue boxes. It may not seem appealing but many times, we just need a square, not a whole tissue ply.
    9. Ask yourself, "Do you really need this?" And visualize moving to another country. Would you take this new purchase?
    10. Watch movies early. Matinee showtimes will save you at least $2 each.
    11. Plan your driving trips so that you can make stops on the way instead of making needless trips back and forth.
    12. Fill up your tank when the gas is cheapest, not when the car is running empty.

If you have any other great ideas for cutting spending, post replies here.
